Best Tasting Water Awarded to Kalama

Kalama’s water won the People’s Choice award in the American Waterworks Association National competition for Best Tasting Water and took third place in the overall competition which included 48 entries from regional water associations throughout the US and Canada.

Officer Traub Receives Life Saving Award

Elm Street Sidewalk Project

On June 10, 2014, construction work began on the replacement of sidewalk on Elm Street, a project that has been in the works since early 2013. The project replaces 160 linear feet of old dangerous sidewalk with a new 16 foot wide sidewalk along with new curb, a ramp at the southwest corner of Elm and South Second Street, and surface restoration

City Annexes 357 Acres

Kalama annexed 357 acres on the north end of the City as requested by the Port of Kalama. The Port has plans for developing a new park and fairgrounds first and then building a multi-use Business Park
