PLANNING COMMISSION 

Serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council to ensure the best methods of growth, development, and expansion of the City.  Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month @ 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

KALAMA TOURISM ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council on the use and expenditure of the Lodging tax funds to be used solely for Tourism activities.  Members serve 1-year terms

Councilmember  Wendy Conradi- Chair,   Matt Salsman of McMenamins, Dan Polacek of the Port of Kalama, Sheryl Scarborough of the WRITE  ON THE RIVER writer's retreat, Cyndi Apao of the Kalama Heritage Festival, Taryn Nelson co-owner of First and Elm Boutique, and Mary Gillespie, citizen at large, are the current members .

PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The parks and recreation advisory committee serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council on updates to the Community Building, the City’s Parks & Recreation Plan and implementation of its elements, and on park development.  Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm in the City Council Chambers.
