Cowlitz County Approved by State for Phase 2
After responding to several questions based on a article in TDN about Kalama's Council meeting and Council actions I would like to clarify that the City Council voted to continue to adhere to the Governor's order. That meant the City would continue to honor and maintain Phase I status. See Attache

KALAMA CITY COUNCIL VIRTUAL WORKSHOP MAY 21, 2020 @ 6PM COVID-19 RECOVERY PLANS

CEDC/PATHWAYS 2020 COMMERCIAL RENT RELIEF APPLICATION
The Community Foundation of Southwest WA COVID-19 Response Committee has partnered with Pathways 2020 and Cowlitz Economic Development Council (CEDC) to provide up to $50,000 for Pathways 2020/CEDC Commercial Rent Relief Grants.

2020 Pavement Preservation Project Begins
Construction work began May 11th on the improvements to Elm Street from W. Frontage Road to Fourth Street (up High School Hill) and improvements to W. Frontage Road from the old Kingwood Crossing to Oak St. The Contractor - AES, LLC, plans to work from 7am to 3:30pm during the week on the project.

Date Street - Construction - Week of May 11
City Crew is working to replace an old waterline on Date Street, which closes Date Street from 8am to 5pm through Thursday May 14th from China Garden Road to Tenth Street. The street will be opened in the evening hours.

UPDATE: Boil Water Lifted – Water safe to Drink
The Boil Water Advisory issued on the afternoon of April 15, 2020, is lifted as of 8:30 am on April 17, 2020. All tests have come back satisfactory. The water is now safe to drink, brushing of teeth, and food preparation. The City thanks the residents for their cooperation.

Park Playgrounds Closed due to COVID-19
