Amalak is a Women's Service Organization associated with the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) is an international women's organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Amalak has been serving Kalama since 1912. Projects are based on community need. Some of the diverse projects done annually are fundraisers for the Kalama Community Building and FOLK, to providing an end of school craft day for students, and hosting a plant and book sale. For many years Amalak has also been a successful caterer for clubs, groups, and parties. 

Meetings: Amalak meetings are the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month from September through May at 1pm at the Kalama Public Library on N First Street. Come to learn, serve, and make friends for life!
