Kalama Police Need a New Home
In December of 2015 the Kalama Police Department lost their facility to the flooding and based on code requirements for an emergency facility for the City could not relocate back to that location. The Department has been forced to operate out of a tiny corner of the Kalama Community Building that is less than 800? square feet. The current location has the officers working at desks nearly on top of one another, with no space for securing weapons, or for interviewing witnesses, complainants, and suspects in private.
