Groundskeeper-Park Maintenance Tech - The City of Kalama is accepting applications for a part time (79 hours/month) position to maintain the City's downtown landscaping and City owned parks.   Click on EMPLOYMENT BELOW

The Kalama Community Building is an all-occasion meeting place. People from the community and out of town have used this facility for school dances, weddings, graduation parties, banquets, baby showers, retirement parties and baptisms. After the flood of 1996 the Community Building was used as a temporary Kalama City Hall.

You will find the rental rates are very reasonable. Click here to view the calendar of available dates. Please note, although the calendar is updated periodically, please contact City Hall at (360) 673-4554 or (360) 673-4908 or email cityofkalama@kalama.com to ensure the date you are interested in is available.  In order to secure your reservation, 50% of the rental fee must be paid.  

The City offers two options for payment of the fee and filling out the Community Building Renal Application.

  • To fill out the online Application and submit payment online, click here.  (There is no additional fee if an echeck is used.  If a credit card is used, a $2.95 fee will be added to the license fee.).
  • Click here to print out and mail the completed application and payment to City of Kalama, PO Box 1007, Kalama, WA 98625.

Facilities

In addition to the Main Ballroom, the Community Building has a Commercial Kitchen, which features a convection oven, large capacity freezer, and dish washing facilities.  The Fireside Room is a great place to hold smaller meetings or events. The 2nd Street Room is also available and is usually used for meetings.
