Groundskeeper-Park Maintenance Tech - The City of Kalama is accepting applications for a part time (79 hours/month) position to maintain the City's downtown landscaping and City owned parks.   Click on EMPLOYMENT BELOW

Any person or company doing business within the City limits of Kalama is required to have a business license.  Licenses must be obtained by January 31st each year.  Business renewals more than 30 days past due are subject to a 10 percent penalty.  New businesses beginning operations after July 1 are charged 50 percent of the business license fee.

In order to obtain a license, a business must have a Washington State UBI (Unified Business Identifier) number, submit a completed Business License Application form, and pay the required fee.   Door-to-door solicitors, taxi companies, and businesses that operate coin-operated games of skill are also subject to additional licensing requirements.  Refer to Title 5 of the Kalama Municipal Code for detailed information regarding business licensing.

Businesses have three options for obtaining their business license.

  • Fill out the online Business License Application and submit payment online.  (There is no additional fee if an echeck is used.  If a credit card is used, a $2.95 fee will be added to the license fee.)
